The Massachusetts Youth Pride Committee is Co-Presenting a film (or 2) at the Boston Gay and Lesbian Film Festival!
All screenings take place at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
Saturday, May 17, 4:30pm
Blueprint Kirk Shannon-Butts, US, 2007, English, 60 min.
Keith is a reserved, straitlaced transplant to New York City; Nathan is a street-smart Brooklynite who lives on the edge - or so he'd like Keith to believe. At first glance, nothing about these two young African American college students suggests romantic compatibility. But a casual courtship gradually develops amidst minor bickering and disagreements. In his feature debut, Kirk Shannon-Butts serves up an achingly observant slow burn that is equal parts urban valentine and pastoral romance - a winsome tribute to self-discovery and young love.
Preceded by (possibly, if schedule permits):
Pariah Dee Rees, US, English, 2007, 28 min.
A young African American lesbian juggles competing identities to keep her family and friends happy. Will she be able to discover who she really is?
